Having traveled worldwide in search of the best yacht buying opportunities and having inspected, surveyed, and sea trialed such a broad range of vessels, no one is better equipped to advise and guide you through the yacht purchase process. We leverage years of experience in yacht transactions and technical knowledge to vet market offerings ascertaining vessel history and auditing maintenance logs to assist you in finding just the right vessel. Our rigorous due diligence will give you confidence that you have made the right investment decision. When it’s time to go to contract, we work with maritime counsel to prepare the offering documents with language and structure that protects you, and then go to work to drive the best deal possible on your behalf.

Once price agreement is achieved, we:

• Coordinate and schedule Buyer’s independent surveys of the vessel, and chose the appropriate yard for haul-out in concert with Seller or Seller’s crew;
• Review, interpret, and assess the Buyer’s surveyor’s written report, and advise on appropriate strategy;
• In consultation with maritime counsel, manage and expedite contracts and revisions thereto as purchase progresses;
• Propose effective flag and registration strategies, both offshore and domestic;
• Consult on Yacht Finance and Insurance matters by researching various underwriters and originators proposals, and work with your accountant to tailor the optimal structure;
• In concert with maritime counsel; coordinate and expedite all documentation, registration, and closing procedures whether domestic or offshore; and depending on flag, take delivery of vessel in international waters as your agent;
• Tailor a charter program to generate income from your yacht when not used personally;
• Place qualified Captain and crew if/as needed;
• Offer after-sale operational and maintenance services: from dockage, to procurement, warranty management, class compliance, etc., all with a focus on commissioning the best yacht service providers in the industry (see our Yacht Management Section).
